Now it runs in more than twenty countries.
Detailing for MCAS began in 2021 as a small detailing fundraiser in Illinois. It is now the world’s largest youth-led nonprofit for Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, with volunteers in more than twenty countries, tens of thousands of cards sent to patients, and over $150,000 raised for research.
Students run all of it: the fundraisers, the care packages, the cards, the chapters. Some of them have MCAS. Most do not, and came because someone they know spent years being handed from one specialist to the next.
