When I started Detailing for MCAS, I wasn't trying to build a nonprofit—I was trying to solve a problem that had affected my own family.
What began as local car detailing fundraisers has grown into a global initiative powered by students, volunteers, healthcare professionals, researchers, and advocates who believe that rare diseases deserve greater awareness and support.
Throughout 2025, we continued to expand our impact in meaningful ways. We organized fundraisers and community events, strengthened partnerships with hospitals and rare disease organizations, supported educational initiatives, invested in patient resources, and advanced the development of digital tools designed to improve life for individuals living with MCAS. More importantly, we continued building a community where patients and families know they are not alone.
While we are proud of what has been accomplished, our work is far from complete. Too many patients still face years of diagnostic delays. Too many families continue searching for specialists, evidence-based information, and effective support. These challenges remind us why our mission remains as important today as when this organization began.
Looking ahead, we are committed to expanding educational resources, strengthening research collaborations, growing our volunteer network, increasing patient outreach, and developing innovative tools that empower individuals living with MCAS. We believe that greater awareness leads to earlier recognition, better care, stronger research, and ultimately, improved outcomes for patients around the world.
Thank you for believing in our mission and helping transform compassion into meaningful action. Together, we are building a future where every person affected by mast cell disease has access to the knowledge, support, and hope they deserve.

In five years Detailing for MCAS has grown from one teenager detailing cars into a youth-led nonprofit operating worldwide. These are the figures the 2025 report opens with.
Country, chapter and volunteer figures are tracked through communication with programs and through website analytics. Hospital figures come from our own analytics.
