On 30 September 2026, the KidsRights Foundation listed Michael-Christopher Suman among the nominees for the International Children’s Peace Prize. The nomination is filed under three of the foundation’s themes: child participation, children with disabilities, and healthcare.
The nomination cites his founding and leadership of Detailing for MCAS — the fundraising, the international volunteer network, the children’s book, the symptom-tracking app, the work with hospitals and the care packages coordinated for patients living with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome.
“Every child, no matter how rare their condition, has the right to be seen, understood, and supported — and it’s our responsibility to build systems that protect their dignity, health, and voice.”

The International Children’s Peace Prize has been awarded annually since 2005 by the KidsRights Foundation, an Amsterdam-based children’s aid and advocacy organisation, to a child whose work has made a difference to children’s rights worldwide. A nomination places this work alongside the other recognition the organization has received, and belongs to every volunteer who built it. Read how it started.
